Visas
Citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Jordan, Russia and Ukraine are not required to obtain a visa for Tajikistan, if the maximum stay is 90 days.
Citizens of EU countries do not face major difficulties in obtaining visas, but some countries do not have direct diplomatic relations with Tajikistan. The citizens of these countries can easily apply for visa at the Tajik Embassies in London and Vienna.
Roads
Road conditions, especially in the rural areas, are generally poor. The roads are crossing through and on mountainside. However, Tajikistan has probably the most beautiful roads in the world. It is preferable to drive by daytime in summer, and as much as possible on the main and known roads.
International driving license is valid on the territory of Tajikistan. Traffic rules are similar with international ones. In cities, especially in the capital Dushanbe, traffic police is very vigilant. In the cities, the traffic is quite slowly.
