Visas
The citizens of Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Mongolia, Russia, Tajikistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan may enter into Azerbaijan without a visa for up to 90 days, the citizens of China and Turkey up to 30 days, and citizens from Iran up to 15 days.
All other citizens need a visa to enter in Azerbaijan, which can be obtained at embassies. For EU citizens, the visa fee is 60 AZN.

Roads
The general condition of the roads is good and the traffic system is similar to Europe.
Driving under alcohol influence is strictly prohibited. There are often violated some traffic laws, including priorities, speeding, passing on a red light.
For pedestrians it is recommended to exercise caution when crossing streets, because drivers do not give priority at marked crossings, and also traffic lights are ignored very often.
Attention! Regardless of the severity of road accident, the person involved must immediately give first aid to the victim and notify the nearest police station. After the report is completed by the police, please contact the insurance company (medical insurance, MTPL).
The most important roads in the country for international transportations of goods and passengers are the route parallel to the Caspian Sea linking Russia to Iran and passing through the country’s capital – Baku, and the M27 road linking Baku to Georgia.
Customs regulations
At the entrance in Azerbaijan passports holders must complete a customs declaration, indicating the currency amount, gold objects, silver, weapons, etc., which is stamped (Source MAE).
Attention! This declaration must be preserved and presented when leaving the country when another declaration will be filled.
At the entrance in Azerbaijan with a personal vehicle a guarantee is paid (some several thousand AZN) recovering very hard leaving the country.
When entering the territory of Azerbaijan if don’t complete the customs declaration (where is indicated amount owned / inserted), foreign citizens are entitled to take out up to 1,000 dollars or its equivalent in another currency.
Foreign citizens in Azerbaijan are able to take out, based on a customs declaration, up to 10,000 dollars or equivalent in another currency.
